Tech Hints
What is a podcast?
A podcast is an episodic program delivered via the Internet using an XML protocol called RSS. Podcast episodes can be audio files, video files, docu- ments, or any combination of the three. The publisher or broadcaster pod- casts the program by posting the episodes and the XML document to a Web server. The consumer subscribes to the podcast using a client application, such as iTunes, which regularly reads the XML file and downloads new episodes. (via iTunes)
How do you get started?
A podcast may also be listened to by simply clicking the player on the BRYHNH website, iTunes Store, Zune Store, or the many podcast directories for instant playback of any episode right on your computer. Downloading is as easy as right clicking (Windows) or Control clicking (Mac) the Download link and choosing "Save File As' as you would download any mp3 from the Web.
How much does this podcast cost?
It is FREE!
If like what you hear and want to support BRYHNH, please purchase music you enjoy through our links to the iTunes Store, check out the BRYHNH Merchandise Store and pick up some BRYHNH gear, or click on the PayPal link here or on the home page and make a donation to help with costs and keep BRYHNH "on the air."
Do I need an iPod?
No. Although you can download podcasts to your iPod to play them on the go, you can listen to or watch podcasts on your computer, using iTunes or any music player that supports mp3s, or burn the shows to CD in audio or mp3 format, to listen to anywhere you have a CD player. BRYHNH episodes make great travel companions.
