Is it wrong to suggest that you SHOULD BE left alone? Glad to see you stopped the FIVE SONG podcast and went all the way to SEVEN...Vangelis to Rage to Bruford to Todd: CHECKMATE!
Thanks again Perry

What??? No Steve Martin??? Guess it would undermine the seriousness of Swinging Erudites . . .
Perry responds:
Both "King Tut" and "Walk Like an Egyptian" would have been expected and predictable (and thus ridiculed by Bob D.)
Swinging Erudites?
Now that is left of the dial . . .

On Sahara of Snow, Does Alan Holdsworth channel Robert Fripp? I think Bruford was in both bands, yes? ...And Yes?
Perry responds:
All correct Shawn. After leaving Yes, Bruford joined forces with Robert Fripp for King Crimson "Mach III." After the last hurrah of that band (Red,) John Wetton and Bruford teamed up with ex Roxy/Zappa keyboard/violinist Eddie Jobson, and ex Gong/Soft Parade guitarist Allan Holdsworth to form the prog supergroup U.K.
As i mentioned, "Sahara Of Snow" was a staple of the U.K. live show, destined for their second record. But with the disintegration of egos, and the exodus of Bruford and Holdsworth, "Sahara of Snow" ended up on the Bruford solo record "One Of A Kind" with Holdsworth once again on guitar.
Holdsworth was not replaced in U.K. and ex Zappa drummer Terry Bozzio took over on drums. That band released "Danger Money" followed by a live album and U.K members dispersed into a number of bands including Jethro Tull, Asia, Missing Persons and solo projects . . .
