Nice job on the above. I'm only unfamiliar with six of those tracks; the rest are stuff which generally rotates in and out of my listening habits.
New to the site. Made my first donation; will keep an eye on this page now that I've found it. Followed link from the Doctor at BrainDamage.
The Joe Jackson number is a pleasure to see listed. "Look Sharp!" is my fave from him. That one really zips along. Played loud on a juke, it can get a room of people on their feet.
p.s. I'm not on any social media, or feeds or anything like that. So, is leaving one comment at a time, the right way to do this? Or is there a register-and-login page?
Perry Responds:
Elvin,
You are doing everything correctly if you are not on social media.
Super glad you found the show and now time to start eviscerating the archives as I am sure you will here hundreds of toe curling tracks.

One thing I can't abide is this farce re: U2's guitarist calling himself, 'the Edge'. My god, how pompous. To me, U2 never would have been a big name were it not for the advent of MTV videos. No member of that kiddie band deserves an egotistical name as if they're a superhero. Who is 'the Edge' compared to Stevie Ray Vaughn, Clapton, Hendrix, Pete Townshend, Robin Trower, Jeff Beck, and so many others?

Thank you for the warm welcome and I'm grateful that you kindly overlook any beginners' mistakes. Awk, sorry I to see I flamed off on "U2" the same night I joined. I sounded like a raving loon. U2 has some okay music but I just don't categorize them as hard rock. That was the only valid point I had to make. If the guitarists' nickname irritates me, I should keep that to myself. I'm a darn fool.
Back to normal: I appreciate the chance to listen to longer tracks as presented on this site. Good long prog-rock jams hardly receive the fame they deserve anymore. Of course I'm not subscribed to anything like Spotify so I can't speak to how anything is in that realm. But even on like college radio ...lengthier tracks like Grand Funk Railroad's "Closer to Home" are almost never aired. Everyone today seems amazed that songs were ever longer than 3:30.
Anyway, when I download a show from here I'll pretty much always make a little contribution. Count on it. I can see the work that goes into the playlists. cheers
